Enjoy your life...

We were working inside the house the other day when we heard this roaring bike approach. A man of large stature, dressed in black leathers, dismounted his metal stallion of raw power and joined the party inside. By the way, it was about 20 degrees outside! Turns out, this ol' rebel was my Grandpa Leland (82 in February) on his new road bike. He had purchased one a few months ago, but Grandma Ila grounded him from it...so, like any man would do, he went out and bought a new one!
We got a good chuckle from him! He came in and warmed his tootsies by the fire for a sec, then he was off again, daring the cold weather.

Moving in!

We can't believe how fast the building process has gone by! The time has come to move on in and we are so excited! Here is the finished product (with a few extra boxes of rock in the front- they are too heavy to move and it's really muddy, so we will have to wait until spring to get those out of the way)! I am so proud of Seth and his family! To everyone who has helped us make our home a dream come true, thank you! Carpet is in, and so is my kitchen sink! Steve-O passed the electrical inspection (nice work!) and Seth is getting the plumbing inspection today or tomorrow. Whew! We made it!

So, we are just about to move in!!!!! Carpet comes in on Monday and Tuesday! We are so excited! I will take some pics to show some cool features, it's been so much work. We beat the deadline! YES!!! It was supposed to be February, but I told Seth, whether we have our CO or not, by the end of next week, I will be sleeping there:). Suh-weet!

The worst day of my life...

This is a sad post. Last Wednesday, Seth and I had the worst day of our married life. Our little dog, Lucy, was hit by a car and she didn't make it. It was terrible. She was such a fun addition to our family, and although some would consider a dog a pet, Lucy was family. She was a "kid" to Seth and me, a "granddog" to Grandma Tina and Grandpa Jerome, a "sister" to Moses, and Stan's cousin. We cried until we couldn't cry anymore, and we still do every now and then. She was a great friend, a FAST runnin partner, an awesome hunting companion, and a sweet little cuddler. We will never forget Lucy and hope those of you who have played with her, been "kissed" by her, and loved by her will remember her fun, sporadic attitude and happiness. Thanks for all the love we've been given! Seth and Hai

Thanksgiving SHOOT-OUT!

The Lusk clan got together the day after Thanksgiving to have the biggest shoot out of the year behind Jared & Deana's homestead. Our family just keeps getting bigger and bigger! Here are a few quick photos that turned out pretty cool...

This is a good ol' game of Annie Oakley.

Yes!!! Deana hit her doubles!!!

Seth always wins:). One of these days, when Ross is in his bettin' mood (which is usually always), maybe my good lookin husband can put this long lost gunslinging talent to use and bring home some green!

This picture was taken on the way out of Knox Canyon on our way to Arbon. I love the drive over Big Canyon to Knox- it brings me back to the good ol' days when I was on the weed patrol! I love living in the country.

Just some quick photo updates: Here is the front with all the dirt moved into place- GO DAD!

This is probably my favorite angle- you can see the walkout basement (which I am so excited about).

Here is the back of the house. I SOOO CAN'T WAIT!! I found my carpet and tile yesterday for a great deal!!! I'm actually under budget on this one:).

Project time!!!

I have been refinishing light fixtures for our house:). I think I have found a new hobby...like I need any more of those! This sconce was a STEAL from Home Depot- first of all, it was a nasty brass color, missing several crystal strands, and obviously in need of some TLC. So the guy practically gave it to me! I paid $2. Here is the finished product:
