It's been a while!

Happy Thanksgiving! It was a great day yesterday at our home. Seth's entire family, with the exception of Drew and Jess's family (missed you guys), came over to enjoy a wonderful spread of delicious foods. Thanks to everyone for coming to our house!

We have so much to be thankful for, including our new little boy, Thad Jerome Lusk, who showed his beautiful face on October 25, 2011. Big brother Beau loves him, but has struggled with the fact that he has to now share mommy, daddy, grandma Tina, and his tractors with the new little guy. That must be a hard thing to swallow at such a young age! He had has a lot of change happen over the last month: the arrival of Thad kind of cramped his style, he is potty training (and doing well, might I add), he is now sleeping in his "big boy bed", he has moved into a new bedroom, and he is hanging out with mommy and Thad all day, rather than going to Andy's or Steppie's o (Stephanie's) house. Now that things have settled a little and we sort of have a routine, life is good! It's going to be tough to go back to work in January. Time...SLOW DOWN! Here are a few photos of life, updated.

Beau with his little brother:) It's like digging a hole in frozen dirt to get this kid to smile on call (aka, impossible).

I luckily won a photo session with Jessamyn Rasmussen, Uptown Photography, at Linda Davies' WildHare Flea Market the other day! LUCKY ME! Here are a few of the shots that I LOVE!

Beau wasn't the most cooperative on this day:)

I had to sneak this one by on Sethro- he's not one to love pictures in the first place, let alone a picture of his feet! Thanks sweetie!

We went to the old bus depot in Pocatello- such a neat old building. Thanks, Jessamyn, for hooking us up!

Record Setting TP contest!

From the master... (Warning...don't kink your neck trying to peer at this picture. I'm too lazy to rotate this picture, sorry!)

...down the hall...

No tears or rips!!! Way to go little man!

My newest creation!

So, when I went to Boston in March, I FELL IN LOVE with a bracelet cuff I found at a super funky boutique- but they were asking $235!!! WHAT!?? I found myself lusting and trying it on, only to take a quick snapshot of what it looked like to make one for myself when I returned home. Well...it only took me four months worth of ambition to FINALLY put one together- sorry...no how-to's along the way. I was too wrapped up in finishing this one! I am so excited with the finished product, but the next will have some minor modifications.
To be continued...

Catching up on the GOOD TIMES

Washington DC
Mom, Dad, and I had the opportunity to take a fun trip together across the country. I was attending a conference for Living Well in Idaho, a program that Hailey Hodges and I coordinate for Health West. So, instead of traveling by myself, Mom and Dad joined me! We had a great time!

It was time for a new hair cut- an exciting time! I sat Beau down in his car outside on the patio and we buzzed away! Every time the clippers came close to his neck, he would shrug up and giggle, "tickle tickle!" So cute!

The Dirty Dash
This was the best 5k of my life! Our team, For Love or Muddy, ran the obstacle course and finished COVERED in mud! We are sooo making this one a tradition! I will have to find some post-run pictures to post.

Seth and I went to Shoshone Falls this summer- it was beautiful! Mom and Dad watched Beau while we escaped in the vette (thanks guys!).

Our little family is growing! I am a little over 6 months pregnant and we are looking forward to another little BOY!!! Beau is pretty excited- at least right now he is. Seth has taught him how to give the baby a little kiss (so cute). The little man is teething right now- incisors...ouch. It's not fair that we have to suffer through this stage in life twice! The poor little guy doesn't eat when teething, he gets a little grumpy, and doesn't sleep as well as normal. Poor guy!

Adding to the joy in life!

Well...we did it again! Yes...we know what causes this. Come on, I'm my dad's and mom's child (for those of you who know my parents very well), and my husband is a Lusk. That should answer any and all curious questions! We are into this new little one 3 months, and counting. What is Beau going to do!?!? :) Wish us luck!

EDD: October 28th, 2011.
Gender??? What do you think? We will keep you posted:)

Almost springtime!

Eating cake pop! My good friend Hailey had made the cutest little treats for Valentine's day- it's cake on a stick- HOW COOL! Beau went to town on this little goodie!
Thanks Hai!

A bunch of deer off Lower Rock Creek road- it's so fun to have great wildlife surrounding us all the time! The only setback...THE SUCKERS EAT MY TREES! We need to be a little better at protecting our yard from our fellow friends.

This is my friend Hailey and me on our trip to Oakland, CA. I missed Seth and Beau so much! The rumors of Oakland are true...scary place. No wonder the Raiders are such !@#$%^&! This trip was loaded with a bunch of firsts for me! I rode a subway, The BART, we also got turned around on the subway a few times, I rode in a cab (I know...so cultured:) ), we ate Vietnamese food- pretty tasty, and a delicious fancy dinner- beef carpaccio, chili smoked prawns, braised greens, lamb chops...it was amazing! The conference was enlightening- the Western Migrant Stream Forum- all about migrant health. We absorbed some good ideas to bring back to Health West.

It rained almost every day...BUMMER- what happened to SUNNY CALIFORNIA???

The little man is getting so big and fun! His "high fives" are awesome! Here, he's chowing on a cookie- oops, that one might have ruined dinner:)

A little LOVE goes a long way!

I love my little family! Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow, I think it is appropriate to say how much I love my husband and my little boy. Seth is such a hard worker, he has the best laugh and smile ever, he is a SUPER DAD, and he is my best friend. I am so lucky to be married to the love of my life. This year is kind of crazy- it will be our 10th Valentine's Day together! Holy smokes- where does the time go?

Beau is such a happy little boy and he is growing so fast! He learns at an amazing rate and LOVES to be outside. We went for a little run today and he was all smiles when we were done (of course, we played on the tractor when we arrived back to home). Seth and I love being parents and we love Beau.

LIFE IS GOOD.

Have a great day filled with love!
